Not only does it completely replace grass as the main component of a horse’s diet, but it fuels that internal furnace that keeps them warm and toasty in any kind of weather. Hicks Hay, located in Kennett Square, PA, offers high quality Timothy, Alfalfa, Mixed Hay, Orchard Grass, Grass Hay and Wheat Straw. They run high quality hay through a hay cutter to create two small, easy to handle bale sizes. The cutting process allows them to examine the bales, so each bale is sound throughout. The small bales flake off when opened like a big bale would. This helps custom- ers measure how much they are feeding their horses. The small bales come in two sizes, 40 and 60 pounds. Hicks Hay is forage tested, so customers can see nutrition facts. This allows owners and managers to keep their horses on a specific diet. They will deliver hay and straw directly to cus- tomers’ barns. Customers can set up recurring deliveries to ensure they never run out of hay. Customers are welcome to stop by and pick up hay or they can schedule a delivery. Hicks Hay will deliver hay into lofts, stalls, bank barns, and any- where customers need their hay stacked. Delivery is available to customers in PA, MD, DE and NJ and tractor trailer loads can be delivered anywhere on the east coast. Customers are welcome to stop by their facility in Chester County, PA and pick up sample bales for their horses to try before they commit to a full order of hay.
