Dressage at Devon is proud to once-again host “Shoppin’ in the USA” presented by Horses 4 Your Consideration as a way of supporting US breeders. This event serves as a platform to introduce breeders and their offspring to a knowledgeable prospective customer base, making it easier for buyers to see multiple horses at one time. Here’s how it works…Program participation is only open to horses competing at Dressage at Devon. The seller pays a nominal fee to participate, which includes a full page listing in the e-publication catalog, an Ad on the Horses 4 Your Consideration website and the in-hand presentation in the Dixon Oval. The classes in which the sale horse is entered will be listed in the catalog. Horses can be seen while warming up and competing. There will be a final presentation in the Dixon Oval on Thursday Sept 26, 2024 at midday. The program is based on the good will of its participants. Should the presentation result in a successful sale, the seller is encouraged to make a dona- tion based on the purchase price thus helping to secure the future of Dressage at Devon. Donations are tax-deductible. Lynn Palm Seminar: “Discover Western Dressage” presented by SmartPak Thursday, September 26, 2024 | Day For more than 50 years Lynn Palm has championed the partnership of horse and rider. An international clini- cian and competitor, she travels extensively teaching the fundamentals of Palm Equestrian Academy throughout the country and abroad. Join us on Thursday for a full day of learning. This lecture about western dressage will run 9 AM to 11:30 AM, with Part 2 being held from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Plan to stay on to watch the afternoon com- petition and then enjoy the evening Masterclass with Brett Parbery which will include a western dressage rider. Paying homage to Dressage at Devon's roots with the Delaware Valley Combined TrainingAssociation "DVCTA," the DVCTAQua- drille Team has performed during the show in the Dixon Oval for decades. Most similar to equestrian ballet or a drill team, quadrille riding is all about synchrony, spacing, and alignment. The DVCTAQuadrille Team features eight pairs of horse-and-rider combinations performing a choreographed routine to music in this visually stunning, must-see exhibition.
