Page 38 September 2023 EAST COAST EQUESTRIAN On Saturday, September 23rd, Greystone Manor Thera- peutic Riding Center (GMTRC) will hold its annual horse show at the facilities at 1063 Hartman Station Road in Lancaster, PA. Always free and open to the public, guests are welcome to watch as the featured participants demonstrate their achievements Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Center to Hold Annual Horse Show September 23rd in equitation over the year. Each participant will guide their horse through the equestrian triath- lon-themed obstacle course. The event will also feature a live lunchtime demonstration of skilled horsemanship. Attend- ees will find GMTRC logowear available for purchase and a food tent with hot dogs, pizza, cookies, drinks, and more all available by donation. Since 1981, GMTRC has provided equine-assisted thera- peutic activities to people with special needs and other at-risk populations. The annual Horse Show plays a critical role in rais- ing funds for the small non-profit. Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for participants who cannot afford their weekly lessons. In addition to fund raising for scholarships, GMTRC also needs additional volunteers and thera- peutic riding instructors. Volun- teers as young as 14 years of age are welcome and no experience is required. GMTRC has a signif- icant waiting list for therapeutic riding lessons and is eager to speak to interested parties.
