Page 4 October 2023 EAST COAST EQUESTRIAN Beer, Wine & Spirits Showcase The Beer, Wine & Spirits Showcase by Bog Turtle Brewery & Elk River Brewing Company returns to this year’s lineup on Saturday, October 21 but the Showcase is now INCLUDED with your ticket purchase. Tentative hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both breweries will be creating custom beers for the Maryland 5 Star! Fresh Food Festival The Upper Shore Regional Council and MARS Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill presented by Brown Advisory are thrilled to present the Fresh Food Fest on Sunday, October 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Fresh Food Fest will feature seasonal fruits and vegeta- bles, dairy products, meats and seafood, and much more. Enjoy a beautiful fall morning procuring and sampling fresh products from the finest Maryland farmers, growers and makers! Admission to the area is free with purchase of any valid Sunday ticket. Maryland Corgi Cup presented by Major League Eventing The wildly-popular Maryland Corgi Cup presented by Major League Eventing returns for the second consecutive year to Fair Hill, Sunday, October 22! Watch the cutest show on turf take place when these adorable pack of corgis take the field for the fluff-tastic Maryland Corgi Cup. They will race across the Fair Hill Steeplechase Turf Track in front of the Grandstands in pursuit of the coveted title: Fastest Corgi in Maryland. Timing on the preliminary and championship heats will be updated closer to event weekend on the Maryland 5 Star website. New For 2023! Located in the reimaged infield, the Kids’ Zone will feature interactive events and activities from partners such as Milburn Orchard, Great Wolf Lodge, the Maryland Horse Industry Board, Fluffy Eventer and more. Kids of all ages are welcome into the infield to find their way through the Milburn Orchard hay maze, play games, design their own stick horse arts & crafts, meet and learn about some famous horses at the Hall of Champions, watch a Work to Ride polo demonstration and most importantly, have fun! For even more canine cuteness, make sure to catch this year’s Rescue Dog Parade. The parade will feature entered rescue dogs from near and far, of all shapes and sizes, strutting their best stuff for the chance to win a variety of fun prizes! In addition to world-class equestrian competition, the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill will once again feature an array of fantastic special events, entertainment at- tractions and new things in 2023 for the entire family.
