EAST COAST EQUESTRIAN October 2023 Page 33 Ride Historic Trails in the Horseways Annual Paper Chase Horseways will host their annual Paper Chase on Sunday, October 15 (rain date October 22), offering an opportunity to ex- plore a historic network of trails through suburban neighborhoods. Teams will ride out from Mander- ley Farm, 240 Penllyn Blue Bell Pike, Blue Bell, PA. The roughly eight-mile course will encompass several of Wissahickon Trails’ preserves, Prophecy Creek Park, and other area preserves. Teams depart starting at 9 am; last riders out by 12 noon. For the safety of the participants, Horseways re- quires all riders to wear a helmet. Teams must access regis- tration forms prior to the event at horsewayspa.org or via the Horseways Facebook page. Completed registration forms and signed waivers, along with pay- ment, may be submitted the day of the event or mailed in advance to PO Box 545, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19437. The cost per rider is $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Please make checks payable to “Horseways.” Prizes will be awarded for ideal time, fastest time, and best team turn out. Feel free to be creative; costumes welcome! Proceeds will help support Horseways in its mission to pro- tect and preserve the equestrian trails and open space that have been a part of the Montgomery County landscape for more than half a century.
