Children ages 8 and under are admitted into the venue free of charge when accompanied by a paid adult. If wishing to enter the grandstands of the Main Arena, children do require the purchase of a Reserved Seat Ticket, Club or Hospitality Pass (*children 2 and under do not require purchase, so long as they can share a seat with a guardian in possession of a valid ticket/pass). GA-Box Tickets, Reserved Seat Tickets, and Hospitality Passes are INCLUSIVE of a GA Ticket to the event. If you’ve purchased a ticket or pass into a reserved area (Tier 2 Grandstand, Tier 2 Club, Tier 1 VIP) please respect your fellow ticket buyers and sit in your assigned seats. Seat assignments will be enforced. GA-Box Tickets are not ‘reserved’ but access to the GA-Box section of the North Aintree grandstand will be monitored. GA Tickets DO NOT include a reserved seat in the Main Arena seating areas. But GA does allow you unlimited access to the infield, curated Retail Vendor Areas, on-site fan activations, a wide variety of food and beverage offerings, and designated bleacher sections of the North Aintree Grandstand on a first-come, first-serve basis. All tickets to the Maryland 5 Star will be issued in an electronic format but CAN be printed at home and brought to the venue if preferred. The on-site Box Office will be completely CASHLESS and will be unable to accept cash or check. Payment by Credit Card ONLY. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover Opening Times: Gates open one (1) hour prior to the start of competition on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and two (2) hours prior to the start of competition on Sunday to allow for viewing of the Final Horse Inspection if desired. The majority of Retail Vendors and food concessionaires will not open until the start of competition. Hospitality Areas will open one (1) hour prior to the start of competition. Tentative Competition Start Time Schedule: • Thursday – 8:00 AM • Friday – 8:00 AM • Saturday – 9:00 AM • Sunday – 9:00 AM *Competition times and schedules are subject to change by Event Organizers at any time. **It is strongly suggested that spectators leave for the competition grounds early in anticipation of traffic and to allow time for parking and shuttling. Recommended/Appropriate Attire: Eventing is a sport that takes place outdoors, rain or shine. Dress for the weather but anticipate fluctuations in temperature and conditions, layers are suggested! Be sure to wear comfortable, weather-proof footwear for all days, particularly Saturday’s Cross Country competition. Please note that there is varying terrain throughout the venue, and it is recommended to wear sensible shoes for such conditions. Lost & Found: Lost personal items can be turned into and collected at the Information Booth or other designated area as listed at the venue during the event. Shop Til You Drop: Nearly 100 Retailers will be in attendance selling a wide variety of products. New for 2022! The Sawmill Crab Shack hosted by The Wellwood will offer the finest Maryland crabs! Enjoy a crab feast while watching horses jumping over crabs at the now infamous Crab Water Feature (MARS Sustainability Bay) on the cross country course.
