Benefiting the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation, the juried art show contains approximately 500 pieces of art by regional and national artists. Thursday, May 22 Devon Dog Show The Devon Dog Show, presented by What A Good Dog, includes an exciting exhibition and three classes: Simon Says, Novelty Division and the Canine Lead Line Costume Parade. Sign up on site at 6:00 p.m, the show is at 7 p.m. in the Dixon Oval, $5 per entry. General Admission and parking are free after 5 p.m. Family Days Thursday, May 22, and Tuesday, May 27. Specials on Food, Souvenirs and Midway. Clydesdale Corner Open daily through Saturday May 31 from 7 to 10 pm, Clydesdale Corner features musical entertainment, a light menu, and beverages Saturday, May 24 Radnor Fox Hounds Founded in 1883, Radnor Hunt is the country’s oldest continuously active foxhunt recognized by the MFHA. Members will demonstrate skills used in the hunt field including navigating a horse through a pack of hounds and dealing with trappy terrain. Sunday, May 25 Carriage Parade Preliminary judging is at 11 am at St. David’s Church, while spectators enjoy picnicking. Compete in the Spectator Picnic contest before the carriages begin their drive through Devon neighborhoods to the Dixon Oval for awards. Itty Bitty Tea Party It’s a classic children’s Tea Party in the Devon Club! Children will sip refreshments and enjoy tea party treats and a musical surprise. Tickets ($35) are limited to 50 guests for each of the three seatings -10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase Sunday Afternoon, May 25th and Memorial Day Afternoon, May 26th A popular tradition in Europe, young jockeys in bright silks gallop their Shetland ponies over jumps. Don’t miss it! $50,000 Arena Eventing The Devon Arena Eventing course spans both the Dixon Oval and the Wheeler Ring. This thrilling event is held over a 30-jump course designed by Olympic gold medalist, former US Olympic Eventing team coach, and renowned international course designer, Captain Mark Phillips. Monday, May 26 – Memorial Day WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase Memorial Day afternoon, the Shetlands race again in the Dixon Oval! The Orpheus Club Founded in 1872, the Orpheus Club of Philadelphia is the country’s oldest men’s singing group. For 150 years, the Club has been a prominent fixture in the social and cultural life of Philadelphia. Singers range in age from 20’s to 80’s and beyond. Monday May 26th and Thursday May 29th. Tribute to Heroes On Memorial Day, Devon honors our community heroes with a special recognition ceremony. Free general admission for all active and retired military personnel, police, fire, and EMT personnel and their families. Tuesday, May 27 The $38,700 Jet Run Devon Welcome Stake The $38,700 Jet Run Welcome Stake begins the weeks’ 5 international show jumping events. Watch competi- tors compete over a 1.45m course. Wednesday, May 28 Ladies Day This year’s theme is “Hooray for Devon-Wood”! Guests are welcomed with a complimentary champagne toast, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a beautiful gift bag before promenading before celebrity judges, compet- ing for five awards. A ticketed luncheon, overlooking sidesaddle competition in the Dixon Oval, follows from noon-2 pm. The $38,700 Devon International Speed Stake Held in the Dixon Oval, international show jumpers compete on a highly competitive course.
