Sunday, May 29 | Carriage Pleasure Drive; $50,000 Arena Eventing The Carriage Pleasure drive welcomes guests to cheer on carriage drivers as they travel through the streets of Devon culminating in the Dixon Oval. Later in the day, the $50,000 Arena Eventing showcases riders competing over an enclosed 30-jump show jumping course spanning both rings. Tuesday, May 31 | $50,000 Jet Run Devon Welcome Stake In the evening, the $50,000 Jet Run Welcome Stake presents the first of the weeks’ 6 international show jumping events. Watch competitors compete over a 1.45m course. Wednesday, June 1 | $40,000 Devon International Speed Stake The evening events bring the $40,000 Devon International Speed Stake to the Dixon Oval, where inter- national show jumpers compete on a highly competitive course. Thursday, June 2 | $25,000 International USHJA Hunter Derby and $250,000 Sapphire Grand Prix of Devon Watch as horses and riders gain experience in Derby competition in the $25,000 International USHJA Hunter Derby. Nighttime brings the pinnacle of international show jumping. The Grand Prix is not to be missed as the sport’s best athletes and horses compete over a grand prix course ranging from 1.45m to 1.60m fences at 8:30 pm. Friday, June 3 $37,000 Devon Speed Derby The evening highlight is the fast and furious Devon Speed Derby. Saturday June 4 | $74,000 Idle Dice Open Jumper Stake The final evening of the FEI International classes, this highly exciting event is all about speed and a clear round. Devon After Hours Join us at Devon After Hours, open nightly Monday, May 30th through Saturday, June 4! Skip the traf- fic and come to the Hospitality Room under the South Grandstand. The entertainment starts at 9:30 or the end of the show and concludes at midnight. Enjoy a light menu, beverages and engaging musical acts. Ken Klaus and Blow the House Down Exhibitions USPC Mounted Games - Friday Evening, May 27 Full of fast paced relay race style events, the mounted games celebrate the skills and teamwork of younger riders. A natural draw to all levels of riding abilities, the games provide a fun sport that teaches the basic natural aids, physical coordination, self-confidence, and teamwork skills. Radnor Fox Hounds - Saturday Evening, May 28 Foxhunting is the traditional sport of mounted riders chasing wild quarry with a pack of hounds. Founded in 1883, Radnor Hunt is the oldest continuously active foxhunt in the United States. During this exhibition, members of the hunt will demonstrate some of the skills they use out in the hunt field. Navigat- ing a horse through a pack of hounds, dealing with trappy terrain, and riding as a group are all skills you’ll see ably demonstrated. WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase - Sunday Afternoon, May 29 and Memorial Day Afternoon, May 30 Cheer on your favorites as the Shetland Pony Steeplechase, presented by Charles Owen, comes to Devon! A popular tradition in Europe, young jockeys wearing bright silks will gallop their Shetland ponies over jumps. Don’t miss it! Special Appearances The Orpheus Club Founded in 1872, the Orpheus Club of Philadelphia is the oldest men’s singing group in America. For a century and a half, the Club has been a prominent fixture in the social and cultural life of the city of Phil- adelphia. Some of the 80 singing members are in their 20s, while others continue to be active members into their 80s and beyond. Proud of its history and always a crowd pleaser, the Orpheus Club will bring their special talents to the Dixon Oval for two performances. Tentative Schedule: Monday May 30 and Thursday June 2. Valley Forge Military Academy Honor Guard Valley Forge Military Academy and College is a private boarding school and military junior college in Wayne, PA. It follows in the traditional military school format with Army traditions. Its Honor Guard has a long-standing tradition with Devon to support the National Anthem for Grand Prix.
