John Zanella Healing Veterans Through Horsemanship (Fri., 1 pm, Seminar Hall B) John, the founder and direc- tor of Victory Therapeutic Horse- manship, is a PATH International instructor, retired Army Sergeant First Class with multiple combat tours and a long history of horse experience. Non-profit Victory Therapeutic Horsemanship is one of the few therapeutic riding pro- grams serving veterans exclusive- ly and at no cost. Studies have shown that therapeutic riding is effective for veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Trau- matic Brain Injuries, and coping with physical injuries. Jay Ziegler PA Horse Trails on the Move (Fri., 6 pm, Seminar Hall B) Jay Ziegler served 7 years, with the past 4 as President of Rothrock Trail Alliance, leading a pilot program with DCNR to build 53 miles of natural surface shared use trails in Rothrock State Forest. He is Chairman of Pennsylvania Equine Council Trail Stewardship program, which educates volun- teers to maintain and create sustain- able trails with various land holders in PA.
