The American Polocrosse Associ- ation (APA) is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) public charity and the official polocrosse organization in the USA. The APA now has 44 clubs across the US and is growing con- tinuously. The APA is a member of the International Polocrosse Council (IPC) and has written the official USA- APA rule book. A graduate of Hocking College with a degree in Back Country Horsemanship and Equine Science and of the Ken- tucky Horse Shoeing college, he has been a full time farrier since 2001. Located in Clarion, PA, he offers clinics on the ground and in the saddle as well as a train- ing program in a private facility. Jason applies classical horseman- ship methods learned from Buck Brannaman, Tom and Bill Dor- rance, Ray Hunt, Martin Black, Pat Puckett to put the horse first by having a “conversation” rather than using force. Sally Barnes Pasture Management & Heavy Use Areas (Thurs., 5 pm, Seminar Hall B) Sally Barnes, a US Depart- ment of Agriculture – Natural Re- sources Conservation Service Soil Conservation Technician, works with farmers to design and imple- ment Best Management Practices for waterways, diversions, rock structures, manure storages and heavy use areas. Sally and her husband own a horse farm in York County, PAwhere they breed racehorses. Sally grew up riding in England, primarily foxhunting, and Sally moved to the USA in 1999 to ride racehorses in Middle- burg, VA. Susan Berger How to Ride When Your Instructor Isn’t Watching (Sun., 11 am, Large Arena) Level Up Your Program & Improve Your Connection (Sun., 1 pm, Seminar Hall B) Susan was an apprentice at an Arabian show stable, attended equine classes at Randolph Macon Women’s College and pioneered the riding program at The Mas- ter’s Inn in Altavista, VA. She managed two boarding stables and was a Horsemanship Education Specialist at Camp Hebron in Halifax, PA, for 22 years. She is a Master Instructor, Clinic Staff, and Site Visitor through the Certified Horsemanship Association and helps individuals connect with their horses through private les- sons, clinics, and workshops. Bicking, DEP, APF-I CFGP, CLS, CE/CI is an esteemed hoof care provider and educator from Parkesburg, PA. Her focus since 2005 is whole horse rehabili- tation through the application of in- tegrative modalities. Through The International School of Integrative Hoofcare, she is an inspiration for aspiring hoof care professionals. Her exceptional work has earned her accolades and recognition, and she has presented at numerous laminitis conferences including the University of California: Davis, Cornell, The International Hoof- Care Summit, The International Lameness Prevention Conference, and The No Laminitis Conference.
