Reach Over 38,000 Horse Owners! The Maryland Horse Foun- dation will conduct the 2024 Maryland Thoroughbred Career Program (MTCP) on June 3-7, 2024. The online application is now available and must be completed by April 19, 2024. Interviews will take place in the two weeks after the application deadline and selected partici- Maryland Horse Foundation Offers Career Program pants will be notified in early May. The weeklong course allows participants to fully engage in the Maryland horse industry and explore a multitude of career options. Graduates of the MTCP are eligible to apply for Career Development Funds, one-time funding that can be used to further career pursuits within two years after the pro- gram ends. The program’s aim is to: • Increase awareness of the diverse career options in the Thoroughbred industry • Give participants access to leaders of the Maryland Thor- oughbred community • Highlight various paths for pursuing a career in the Thor- oughbred industry • Address a critical need to attract and retain experienced and devoted employees “The Maryland Thorough- bred Career Program offers a great opportunity to see behind the scenes in the various com- ponents of the industry from reproduction to racetrack opera- tions,” says Cricket Goodall, Executive Director. “We hope to show these young people who love horses that you can make a career out of that pas- sion.” Learn more about the Maryland Thoroughbred Career Program at marylandhorse.com .
