She has been a faculty member in equine studies at several colleges, currently at Wilson College where she teaches nutrition, behavior, management, and exercise physiology. She received her BS from Rutgers University in Equine Science and worked for Rutgers Cooper- ative Extension for several years before starting a MS in Plant Biology, also at Rutgers. Jennine Lection, DVM, DACT Foal-Proofing Fertility; Breeding the Problem Mare (Sat., 3 pm, Seminar Hall B) Originally from North Carolina, Jennine received both her BS in Animal Science and her DVM with an emphasis on equine practice from North Carolina State University. She completed her equine rotating internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida and specialization training through a reproductive medicine res- idency at Cornell University. She became a board-certified theriogenologist in 2021. She currently is a graduate student in the Integrative and Biomedical Physiology program at Penn State University. Dr. Lection’s research interests include inflammatory and infectious conditions of the equine reproductive tract includ- ing placentitis and endometritis.
