In addition to training horses, teaching lessons, competing in barrel racing, cowboy shooting, and hosting clinics, she also writes for various magazines and is working on her first book. Jim Fiorini Feed Protocols for Metabolic Horses (Sat., 9:05 am, Seminar Hall B) Jim is a certified equine feed specialist with extensive knowl- edge and experience using com- mercial feeds and supplements to meet nutrition and performance requirements for all horses. Molly Friend, PhD Healing Through Horses in Therapeutic Settings (Sat., 4 pm, Seminar Hall B) Dr. Molly Friend is a PhD student at Penn State studying Inte- grative and Biomedical Physiology with research interests in equine exercise physiology. She has a BS in Animal Science from Ohio State and a MS in Animal Science from Mississippi State University. Her master’s research investigated the use of equine-assisted psychothera- pies in substance rehabilitation and its impacts on human and equine participants. He has competed in three Extreme Mustang Challenges, placing first of 45 and winning the trail class in 2012 and placing second in the compulsory and fourth overall in 2013. Sonny is the only Natural Horseman to do an opening day demonstration at the Hampton Classic. He wrote the top selling book, “SONNYISMS, The Horse Lovers Guide to Common Sense.” He represented the US in an inter- national colt starting competition, competing against Canadian Glen Stewart and David Simons from Australia.
