Laura Kenny, MS Toxic Plants & Your Horses (Thurs., 4 PM, Sat., 10 am, Seminar Hall B) Laura is an Equine Natural Resources Educator for Penn State Extension who works with horse farm owners and managers to improve pasture and manure management, which benefits the horses and the environment. She received her BS from Rutgers University in Equine Science and worked for Rutgers Cooper- ative Extension for several years before starting a MS in Plant Biology, also at Rutgers. Andrea Kocher, MPS Overview of the 4-H Horse Program (Thurs., 6 pm, Seminar Hall B) Andrea is an Equine Exten- sion Specialist and Instructor of Equine Science in the Depart- ment of Animal Science at Penn State University. She works closely with youth extension programs, supporting the PA 4-H Horse Program through curriculum development and program implementation. She also develops state 4-H horse curricula and reference mate- rials and assists with devel- opment and coordination of educational programs, horse shows, judging contests, clinics, and seminars.
