Ten races will be run on this spectacular course in Earleville, MD - rain or shine. Watch every age grab the reins: young jockeys with their ponies, lead line races for the littlest jockeys and the big fences for the amateur adult jockey. This event will surely bring the crowds to the Eastern Shore’s only point- to-point event. For the Timber Races horses will jump 21 times over sturdy 3’ 3” heights. It will test the nerve of each horse and jockey, as Eastern Shore’s First Point to Point Planned at Mount Harmon they fly over them for exciting finishes. There will be a Food Court, an Open-Air Tavern, a Market place for shopping, a Parade of the Wicomico Hunt Hounds, the Brandywine Driving Club with their antique carriages, and Tail- gating and Hat Contests. Watch young, gutsy riders gallop their ponies on the flat and race to the finish. Or hold your breath as the adults take their mounts over the 3’ 3” solid timber fences. Buy tickets early for the best viewing area at the Finish Line along the Home Stretch, as they are selling fast. Enthusiasts are coming from Virginia, Pennsylva- nia, New Jersey and Delaware.
