Dr. Cat Radtke The Importance of a Pre-Purchase Exam (Thurs., 2 pm, Seminar Hall B) Dr. Cat Radtke is head of surgery and obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Following a one-year in-hospital rotating internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY, she worked for the state of Kentucky as a Thoroughbred racetrack regulato- ry veterinarian for two years. She completed a one-year orthopedic surgery fellowship at New Bolton Center, followed by a three-year large animal surgical residency program and a PhD in regenera- tive medicine at the University of Prince Edward Island, where she is an assistant professor of large animal surgery. Anastasia Schiavi All About Horses for Kids (Sat., 11 am, Seminar Hall A) Anastasia began as a Days End Farm Horse Rescue volun- teer, has been a groom, a barn manager, a trainer and a hunter jumper competitor and is current- ly DEFHR Community Outreach Coordinator.
