Why not start local and support local? Mosh Pets® hand-crafted clothing and caps, based in Allentown, N.J., offers fun and comfortable ‘horse-wear’ at the Toll Booth Saddle Shop on Route 206 in Eastampton, N.J. "The story of Mosh Pets® all started with a little line drawing I did of our broodmare that I used as a trademark for our Thoroughbred breeding operation," said Marcy Roberts, who co-owns Rock Talk Farm with her husband. A few years later Mosh Pets® equestrian casual clothing was born and today the company offers not only equestrian motifs but also other animal drawings and designs (all hand-created by Marcy, the owner and founder) of Mosh Pets®. "When I am doing chores around the farm I like ‘comfort and cute’ so when I started Mosh Pets® apparel, my idea was to offer everything comfortable, amazingly cute and fun to wear. I love putting together hoodie-sweatshirts and caps — or a t-shirt layer over a comfortable, thin-cotton long-sleeved shirt. These types of combinations reflect the casual style of Mosh Pets® ” said Roberts. So, as the story goes, with fun and comfort in mind, Roberts designed her first hat using a line drawing of her broodmare on the front of the cap and with the mare's 'hind end' on the back of the cap. “My friends raved about 'the hats with the horse's butt' as they were humorously described, so I ex-panded the drawings to include cats, dogs and even sheep... includ- ing both the front-end and hind-end. I went ahead and filed my trademark and that is how Mosh Pets® got started," said Roberts. Over time, the clothing line has developed and expanded into vari- ous styles of shirts in sophisticat-ed hues, designs and brilliant bright colors. "I now have a line of casual t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, hoodies and hats at Toll Booth Saddle Shop." Roberts is also a fan of hip-look- ing clothing. “I have a habit of modifying clothes to fit my lifestyle to spice things up,” said Roberts. “I love coming up new and creative ways to wear things.” Over the past several years, Roberts has honed a process to create more intricate designs. “Long-sleeve shirts are a must for me when I ride my horse. I don't want sunburn. My shirts are extra soft and have good air flow. The shirts are a super-soft cotton blend. Some of the fabrics today have that uncomfortable slick feeling (of which I am not a fan), so I am careful about how fabrics feel when I cre-ate new merchandise," said Roberts. “My new shirt designs are very unique. They are made one-at-a-time so no two are exactly alike.” For more information about Mosh Pets® casual equestrian ap- parel, visit Mosh Pets® on Facebook or email marcy@rocktalkfarm.com.
