Page 14 August 2023 EAST COAST EQUESTRIAN With cooler weather coming and winter on the horizon, be sure to complete general fencing maintenance this fall. A quality fence can be a sig- nificant investment but is a nec- essary part of having an animal. Compromising on the quality of materials or proper installation will only lead to stress, disap- pointment, and regret. Nobody wants to find that their animals are missing or get a phone call that they have strayed to the neighbor’s house or are out on the road. Repairing an existing fence is a good first option and can buy you some time, but eventually the repairs will cost almost as much as replacing the fence. Some- times going through the process of having a fence installed can be just as stressful. ProFence LLC brings a level of professionalism to the fenc- ing industry that will make the process as stress-free as possible. Our friendly staff takes your calls, emails, or website inquiries, and our estimators will discuss your needs and provide you with a free estimate. Prior to your installation, we will work through scheduling and discuss what to expect next. When the crew arrives onsite, they will review what is to be done and make any necessary adjustments. You can then relax, sit back and watch how it’s done. ProFence LLC uses quality materials including pressure treated posts, treated and untreated board options, heavy duty wire, gates, and latches. The end result is a fence that is sturdy and will last for years to come. We are so confident in our fence installations that we include a 10 Year Warranty with our fence . The ProFence LLC 10 Year Warranty covers materials and labor for 10 years from the date of installation. The warranty can also be transferred to a new property owner within that 10 year period. Free estimates, quality ma- terials, and professional service makes your next fence stress-free. Give us a call at (800) 433-6236 or visit profence.org . Help from ProFence: Don’t Let Your Fence Stress You Out Get Ready for Fall! Six Tack Room Organization Tips from B&D Builders When building a horse barn, the tack room is often overlooked in the design process. However, considering it is the home for all your saddles, bridles, reins, and other equipment, you’ll likely spend a great deal of time in this room, so it should be both beauti- ful and functional. B&D Builders has a few tips to design a tack room that fits the bill. 1. TACK ISLANDS Having a spacious tack room is key to including a large island structure with storage. Baskets, bins, and hooks in easy-to-reach places within the tack island are essential to keeping your mess under control. 2. BOOT SHELVES Your boots are dirty, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be kept in a place that’s both functional and attractive! Build a nice shelf with hooks to hang your boots — that way they will be easy to clean and grab quickly when you are ready to ride. 3. TACK CLEANING RACKS Maximize your wall space by hanging various-size cleaning racks to clean your saddle and other tack items. 4. BLANKET HOLDERS Turnout and stable blankets and sheets are heavy and cum- bersome to keep tidy. Consider hanging a durable holder made of hand-forged iron to keep these items away from dirt or water. 5. BRIDLE RACKS Bridle racks and hooks can be found anywhere, but if you’d like to spruce up your tack room, try custom racks and hooks to make your tack room more invit- ing and less plain. 6. SADDLE RACKS Your saddle is probably the most important piece of equipment in this room. A simple rack will do, but why not take it up a notch? Make sure the saddle rack is in the most functional place for the room! This is a piece that should fit the personality of the rider and the horse.
