Cornerstone Farm
Cornerstone Farm Offers Quality Lessons, Training at an Affordable Price

Serious riders who want to further their skills in an atmosphere that’s fun and laid back yet team oriented would do well to check out Cornerstone Farm. The farm’s mission is to provide quality lessons, training, and services at an affordable price in a fun and safe environment.

Owner and head trainer Marisa Kalmar has 25 years of hunter/jumper experience and has been training weanlings through Grand Prix prospects for 15 years. She has been a hunter/jumper and equitation instructor for 15 years, and has coached the Lehigh University Equestrian Team (LUET) for eight. In six out of the last seven years, LUET riders have qualified for the IHSA National Championship Finals, and in three out of seven years the team has represented its region with a Cacchione Cup rider (for the top ranked Open riders in the country).

Kalmar also works with dressage through 2nd level and event riders who want to work on their dressage and/or stadium. She believes in a strong dressage and equitation foundation for hunters and jumpers.

The modern, full service boarding, training, and lesson center is located in the beautiful Lehigh Valley and is a short drive to Quakertown, Bethlehem, Center Valley, Allentown and New Jersey, and is 75 miles or less from New York City and Philadelphia. Cornerstone Farm offers limited lessons on the farm’s high quality school horses or customized lessons on the student’s mount. Lessons are available for beginner through advanced riders who want to compete or just learn and improve for their own satisfaction.  Ship-ins are welcome.

Training packages can be custom tailored for all levels of horses including unbroke youngsters, horses changing disciplines, or schoolmasters in need of fine tuning. For those ready for a new partner, Cornerstone Farm will train, market and prepare your sale horse and help find you a new mount that suits your needs. The farm has produced Level 7 jumpers, junior and amateur/owner hunters, ponies and Big Eq horses that have qualified for finals. Many of the farm’s horses and riders have placed at the regional, zone and national level.

The facility includes an 80’x200’ indoor ring and a 150’x250’ outdoor ring. Board includes feed and cleaning up to three times a day, daily turnout when weather permits, blanketing, handling for routine vet and farrier visits and more.

For The Horse Farms Open House: Cornerstone Farm will award door prizes, and offer pony rides, tours of the facility, a used tack sale, coupons and finger foods and refreshments. Riding and jumping demonstrations and guest speakers will be featured. Visitors can get information on buying and selling horse properties.
